RTC: Considering Colts’ cash

RTC: Considering Colts’ cash

Houston Texans

Indianapolis Colts

Nate Dunlevy has money on his mind, and looks at some cost questions for the Colts.

A look at the Colts’ offensive tackles, with Collin McCollough.

Assessing the safeties with Brett Mock.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Jaguars’ fans will miss Jeff Fisher, says Gene Frenette.

Fisher gave the Jaguars a rival when they needed one, says Vic Ketchman.

Tennessee Titans

Bud Adams is talking about a quick hire, says Jim Wyatt. I prefer what his top lieutenants said Friday, that they’d take as long as it takes.

The Titans should look to an outsider, says David Climer. I’ve said so too.

Receivers coach Fred Graves has jumped from the Titans to the Panthers.

Fisher had too much power, says Climer.

Fisher leaves behind an uncertain legacy, says David Boclair.

Peter King thinks a fresh start with a young coach is good for Tennessee, but then throws in Dom Capers’ name too. It’s been a long time since Capers was a good head coach.

That’s all for today.

Indianapolis running back Dominic Rhodes says Jaguars are like Colts’ "little brother"

The Indianapolis Colts have mostly dominated the AFC South since its creation and none of the players involved in this weekend’s game need a reminder of that.

Just ask Colts running back Dominic Rhodes.

“They’re like they’re our little brother right now; they want to be the big brother,” Rhodes told the Indianapolis Star. “You get that thing going on, there’s a lot of competition. They don’t like us. We don’t like them.”

Rhodes has been with the Colts for two weeks this season, but he spent seven seasons in Indianapolis from 2001 to 2006 and in 2008. Historically the Colts have been an easy opponent for the Jaguars to get up for — last year Jacksonville had a chance to hand Indianapolis its first loss of the season.

“I think every time they play us it’s like their Super Bowl,” Colts linebacker Tyjuan Hagler said Monday, according to the Star.

The Jaguars said after Sunday’s game against the Raiders they weren’t thinking about the Colts just yet. In post-game locker room clip shown on the local television show Jaguars All Access, coach Jack Del Rio told his team, “We expect to go to Indy and take care of business,” before going on to tell players to enjoy the victory and worry about the Colts later in the week.

There’s no doubt though that this is one of the biggest games in franchise history. With the Houston Texans’ loss to the Baltimore Ravens last night, if the Jaguars beat the Colts, they’ll clinch the AFC South, winning their first division title since 1999.
