First, let me say that I think the best plan for the future of the Indianapolis Colts is for the team to find a way to land the top draft pick in the 2012 NFL draft. Injured quarterback Peyton Manning(notes) may or may not return next season, and, if he does come back, he may or may not return to form. Either way, the Colts are going to need either a new franchise quarterback, like Stanford’s Andrew Luck, or a bunch of pieces to fill in around Manning as he continues to age.
